Hot Shrimp or Crab Dip

Hi everyone! As I mentioned, it's a busy summer here, with weddings and graduations, and birthdays.

Today is no exception because it happens to be my daughter Mimi's 15th birthday!

(Here we are together.)

She is funny and sweet, and best of all, a little on the crazy side! She makes me laugh every single day. She always looks gorgeous, although she loves to make funny faces - either way, I love that face!

Mimi makes me proud every day, because she is truly a kind person. So with that said, Happy Birthday Mimi! We all love you more than you will ever know.

To celebrate, it's been dinner(s) with the family. Just like most of you, birthdays in this family usually mean food. Well, presents and food! So, without letting you all miss out on the fun, here is a delicious shrimp or crab dip, which takes no effort to prepare, but is delicious! Try it and let me know how you like it!

Warm Cheesy Shrimp Dip

(photo via)

1/2 white or green onion, minced
1 clove garlic, minced
3 TBSP Butter

Microwave on med-high for 1 minute. Stir. Microwave 1 more minute.

1 8 oz package cream cheese (softened)
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
5 shakes Franks Red hot, or 2 shakes tabasco sauce
1 cup grated mozzarella
1 lb shrimp, cooked, peeled, deveined, chopped, OR 1 lb crab, cooked, cleaned

Mix all ingredients and place in a glass pie pan (9"). Bake for 20 to 25 minutes until bubbly.

Serve with party rye rounds, french bread, or crackers. Or just use a spoon. Not very classy, but whatever. It's all good.

Follow along with me, and please comment to let me know what you think, any questions, or just to let me know what you've been up to!

LINK PARTIES for each day of the week. I can't say I make it to every one of these, but I'd like to!
